With the impending danger of the thinning of the ozone layer, ultraviolet rays or (UV) rays from the sun are escaping towards the ground. This has a negative impact on the whole environment. Increased UV rays have a drastic effect on humans as UV rays can cause skin cance.. When these harmful sun rays enter our homes, chances are one could get expose to this harmful radiation while at the comforts of their home. An added protection to this would be to put UV plexiglass in your windows.


Windows give an airy and roomy appearance to the interior. Windows make one’s electrical consumption less with the ability to utilize daylight most of the time. However, the increasing intensity of the UV rays can increase the danger towards one’s health. The house does not heat up, even in direct sunlight, making even summer a comfortable place to stay at home.

An added feature to UV plexiglass is its flexibility. It can be installed easily at any location without the meticulous handling required for glass. Perhaps, the most interesting feature for a UV plexiglass is that it is more resistant to pressure. Although it may seem brittle, UV plexiglass is extremely strong.

While global warming and the thinning of ozone layer pose a great danger into our households, there is a new technique to prevent the ill effects in the form of UV plexiglass.
